IMPORTANT

1. For the oral presentation: presentation time of no more than 12 minutes, followed by questions from the auditor for 3 minutes. It results in a total presentation time of no more than 15 minutes per oral presentation.

 

2. For the poster presentation: A lot of text is not desirable. Simple tables; graphs and photos are the most recommended. Some conclusions at the end and some comments. The letters/numbers must be visible from at least 1.5m.

The poster format is A0 or at least A1.

Potato cultivation

From a documentary point of view, the potato appears on the current territory of Romania in Transylvania; thus, on March 14, 1769, the officials of the Royal Governorate of the Grand Principality of Transylvania (Sibiu) issued a circular regarding the potato culture because there were serious voices from the population that opposed the cultivation of this plant.
Today the total area cultivated with potatoes in Romania is 176 396 ha.

Peles Royal Catsle

The Peles castle was built by the first King of Romania, Carol I of Hohenzollern – Sigmaringen, between 1873 and 1914. By 1883, the year of its inauguration, it was used as summer residence. Between 1890 and 1914, under the supervision of the Czech architect Karel Liman, considered the main architect, the castle was transformed and enlarged. Decoration: in the first shape (1883), both exterior and interior stylistic dominant is provided by the German neo-Renaissance style with two exceptions, the neo-Ottoman and the neo-Rococo styles. In the second stage (1890-1914), fundamental changes to the volumes, façades and interiors enriched the previous stylistic range, adapting the castle to the stylistic pluralism of Historicism.

Dimitrie Ghica park (Sinaia - Brasov county)

Dimitrie Ghica Park was founded in 1881, and the arrangement was made under the guidance of the Swiss landscape architect, Eder. It houses several secular trees, and inside it take place, on a stage arranged, the festivals in Sinaia.
